Welcome.
I believe everyone has the answers they seek within them. I would work with you to cultivate, restore and strengthen your connection to and belief in your own internal wisdom. The ability to listen to yourself and act in your own best interest is key in living the life that is right for you. Making the choice to put yourself first can start to shift other troubling situations and create the ease in life that you desire.
I work with issues of trauma, relationship satisfaction and enrichment, life transitions, and women’s and men’s issues. I have a holistic approach attending to body, mind and spirit as they pertain to your experienced problems. I will help you compassionately confront any obstacles to growth and change.
I’ve been a practicing therapist for more than 15 years. I currently see clients only in my office in the Loop Monday through Thursday. I no longer have an Evanston location.
Clients often say I possess a great combination of gentleness and assertiveness. I can be both nurturing and direct so that clients feel safe and supported while also being held accountable to making the changes they want. My non-judgmental, curious nature and my compassionate, active listening skills make me a great partner for your journey.
I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Psychology from Indiana University. My training includes the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and post-graduate training in Feminist-Relational models of working with trauma.
Many people who have been in traditional “talk therapy” previously find the transformational power of the IFS work brings a whole new level of healing and change. The model is a great tool for being in better relationship with your Self.
