Women's IssuesWith post-graduate training in Feminist-Relational models of psychotherapy as they relate to working with trauma, I have a great deal of experience with a wide range of issues that are typically associated with women, such as:
Women in particular can get into bad habits of defeating self talk or blame. A key to making a healthy shift is to train that inner voice to be more compassionate. When you create more compassion for yourself, you will often find life becomes a lot easier. Over the years, I've found that my clients are caring and competent people who simply find themselves struggling with painful or uncomfortable issues. The discomfort may have something to do with relationships, work, sexuality, life changes or other stressful situations. No matter the specifics, I enjoy collaborating with people to help them learn about and change self-defeating patterns, develop coping skills and create balance in life. I experience this work as an opportunity for growth and clarity, connection and joy.
