"Time has been transformed, and we have changed; it has advanced and set us in motion; it has unveiled its face, inspiring us with bewilderment and exhilaration."

- Kahlil Gibran

Transitions

As the saying goes, the only real constant is change. I work with a lot of people who are in some kind of transition in their lives, such as:

  • Changing jobs or careers
  • Going back to school
  • Ending or starting a relationship or a marriage
  • New parents and empty nesters: children coming into or leaving the family
  • Moving or relocating to a new city
  • Change of life: from entering the workforce (20-somethings) to starting a family to entering menopause (50+) and beyond
  • Grief and loss
  • Looking for new ways to bring meaning into your life, including spirituality, creativity, new relationships

A change in our routine is often stressful. Sometimes that stress can trigger anxiety and confusion; sometimes it can lead to panic attacks, depression and worse.

Whether you are feeling stressed out about a new situation, apathetic about finding a new direction or even excited about making a change, working with a therapist will help you navigate new territory and create a healthier, more meaningful life.
